where is the love?

Updated: Apr 11, 2021

Our world can be a confusing place. I do my best to not post political topics, simply because I'm not one who enjoys a social media debate. It seems that's where many of those posts lead. And honestly I'd rather be hanging out my dog or eating chocolate.. or anything else really. Who's with me?!

We all have our own opinions; we're supposed to. Sometimes those opinions change as we navigate through life while other times our opinions are concrete. We should also respect and celebrate others opinions and beliefs.

Quite frankly everything going on in our country lately ignites my anxiety and depression. I know I'm not alone in experiencing this. I believe that our country can learn to love one another more. Is that an easy thing to do? No... but is it the best possible thing to do? Hands down, yes. Spreading kindness, understanding, empathy & knowledge are the greatest gifts we can give to others. These are also the best things we can gift to ourselves. :)

The golden rule: "treat others how you want to be treated".

While listening to Pandora today a song came on that stopped me in my tracks (aka made me look up from the entertainment of my cat experiencing her catnip high). "Where is the love?" by The Black Eyed Peas was that jam. Needless to say I cranked it up and began thinking. I felt the need to share this song for people to re-discover. This song was released in 2003 and written after 9/11 occurred and is just as relevant today as it was then.

Take a listen, and I mean really listen. Watch the video. Think about what it means and start to spread the love.

As always, thanks for reading & feel free to comment below. :)
